The Autumn Carnation⢠EncoreĀ® Azalea, Azalea x āRoblecā PP#15339, has pink, semi-double blooms that attract butterflies and hummingbirds. Dark green foliage turns shades of purple in the fall. Blooms spring through fall. Works well in containers on the patio, singly, in the shrub border or as a hedge.
Autumn Carnation⢠Encore® Azalea Care
Water well until established- more drought tolerant than some azaleas. Azaleas perform best in acidic soil, which can be amended with chelated iron if necessary. Prune only to shape after the first bloom period in spring. Fertilize in late winter or early spring to give the upcoming blooms a boost.
Autumn Carnation⢠Encore® Azalea Spacing
Plant 3 to 3.5 feet apart, center to center for a hedge. Otherwise plant approximately 5 to 6 feet apart, center to center.
