This Illicium parviflorum, also known as Small Anise Tree stays more compact and is better behaved than its predecessors. The golden foliage is scented, smelling of anise. Pretty yellow-green flowers are framed by foliage that doesn’t bleach over the winter. This shrub would be an excellent addition to a woodland themed garden.
