The Watermelon Ripple Hens and Chicks by Chick Charms is a drought tolerant succulent with dark red or burgundy leaves with green tips and a green center. The rosettes grow up to 3 inches high and 12 inches wide. Amazing in rock gardens, in retaining walls or even in a garden planter. Winter hardy in growing zones 3 to 9, so most of the United States can grow these perennial ground covers.
Plant in well drained soil that receives full sunlight or partial shade. Very carefree once the plants are established. We recommend planting several different types of hens and chicks to create beautiful color contrasts that last 12 months a year. The Chick Charms series has the best growing and boldest colored hens and chicks available!
