The Sky Box Japanese Holly from Proven Winners ColorChoice is a medium sized evergreen shrub that provides 4 seasons of interest. It has shiny dark leaves that provide color even in the winter. It also produces berries, which look great in contrast with the dark foliage. Birds love the berries, but they are not for human or pet consumption. We love planting these in garden planters in formal entryways and at the end of the driveway.
This shrub can handle a lot of harsh conditions including urban pollution, salt tolerant, and dry conditions. Pruning is not necessary to keep the conical upright shape. Once establish, this plant is very low maintenance and care free. These are winter hardy in growing zones 6a, 6b, 7a, 7b, 8a, 8b.
*This plant was formerly known as Sky Pointer.
